The Queensland Country Group is proud to announce the appointment of Glenn Seri to the role of Executive Manager Queensland Country Health Fund. This newly created position replaces the role of Health Fund Chief Executive Officer, previously held by Aaron Newman. Mr Newman was promoted to the position of Group Chief Executive Officer on 1 April 2019 following the retirement of Aileen Cull.

Mr Seri, who previously held the role of Executive Manager Corporate Services, has worked in a diverse range of General Management roles throughout Queensland Country prior to accepting his new role. With previous experience in Credit, Property, Transactional Services, IT, Branch Operations and the SmartBudget product, he has a strong understanding of the business and the communities in which it operates.

“Glenn has a history of making significant contributions to the organisation, having assumed responsibility for project managing both the construction of the Queensland Country Centre in Townsville in 2014 and the successful merger with Queenslanders Credit Union in 2018,” Mr Newman said. “The private health insurance industry is constantly changing and Glenn’s proven ability to adapt will be a definite strength in his new role,” he added.

According to Mr Seri, Queensland Country Health Fund is well positioned to take advantage of recent Federal Government reforms to the Private Health Insurance industry, which are aimed at providing clarity to consumers regarding the features associated with their policies and providing additional incentives for young Australians to take out cover.

“I’m very excited to take on this new role. We are one of the first health funds in Queensland to introduce the new age-based discounts for eligible policyholders under the age of 30. This gives us a great opportunity to talk to more young Members about the value our health cover and makes our product very competitive for young people,” he explained.

Queensland Country Heath Fund has consistently been one of the fastest growing health insurers in Australia and continues to enjoy industry leading customer satisfaction levels.

“A recent survey of Members showed an overall satisfaction rating of 96%. Such a result is testament to the quality service the organisation provides and I am looking forward to working with the team to continue delivering quality products and exceptional service to our Members,” he added.
