To keep our commitment to you, we review our products and benefits annually to ensure we continue to help people living in our communities live better lives through better health.
We’ve listened to Member feedback and we are pleased to share the following improvements from 1 April 2025:
Making the definition of student dependents more inclusive |
|
Before 1 April 2025 |
From 1 April 2025 |
Our student dependent definition does not extend to those students who are completing a traineeship. |
We have updated the definition of a student dependent to now include trainees. This means more young adults can stay covered under their family’s policy while they study or train. |
No excess for dependents up to 21 years of age |
|
Before 1 April 2025 |
From 1 April 2025 |
We waive your hospital excess (if you have one) for dependents up to the age of 12. |
To reduce out-of-pocket costs children need hospital treatment, we have extended the hospital excess waiver from 12 to 21 years of age. This change will apply to all hospital products. |
