Impersonation scams are when scammers pretend to be from a trusted organisation – like your health fund – and attempt to trick you into sharing money, information or account details under the guise of an “official business practice.” Please stay alert, and contact us if you’re not sure.

We’re aware of impersonation scams targeting Queensland Country Health Fund members.  

Impersonation scammers may pressure you to: 

  • Transfer money or move funds to another account, 
  • Provide sensitive health information, 
  • Provide personal details, 
  • Provide passwords, one-time-codes or other information to help them access your account. 

Please remember, Queensland Country Health Fund will: 

  • Always identify ourselves when we contact you, 
  • Never pressure you to move funds between accounts, 
  • Always email you from a verified @queenslandcountry.health email address. 

What you can do: 

  • If you receive a call that feels suspicious or unexpected, hang up and call us back using our official direct number – 1800 813 415.  
  • If you are unsure about an email or SMS you’ve received claiming to be from us, don’t click any links, and call us on 1800 813 415 to check first.
